About Creative Brand Communications

Creative Brand Communications was founded in 2003 by Jeff Stephens. After spending a couple years in the marketing department of Umpqua Bank (arguably the most brand-centric and marketing savvy community bank in the nation), Jeff recognized the incredible amount of opportunity there was to help other financial institutions recognize the power of strong brands as a tool to grow and create more profitable customer relationships. Over the years, CBC has developed its own unique approach to developing experiential brands.

In 2008, CBC also established PSST!, the world’s first and only word of mouth marketing agency dedicated exclusively to serving banks and credit unions. PSST! evangelizes new and innovative ways for financial services firms to cut through the advertising clutter and get noticed, and provides services to develop word of mouth marketing strategies and campaigns.

Today, CBC is recognized internationally for its unique, focused expertise in experiential brand development and word of mouth marketing for entrepreneurial banks and credit unions. We have clients across the United States and Canada, ranging from $70 million to $5 billion in assets.
