Environments Matter

I may be preaching to the choir here a bit. But I recently came across this good colloquial example of why bank and credit union branch environments matter so much, and I thought I’d share quickly. It’s nice and simple, and makes a powerful point.

Have you ever gone into a restaurant for the first time, and before you’ve even tasted the food, ordered your martini or received any service, you at least subconsciously decided “I like this restaurant,” or possibly “this place sucks”?

Be honest. Of course you have. I have too. And bank and credit union branches are no different than restaurants in that way.

You decided before you even tested the product. Why? Because the environment is so powerful. It’s such a massive collection of touch points that it alone can strongly shape your experience.

Environments matter!
