Bank architecture eye candy – part 2

by Irina on April 7, 2009

To continue on last week’s post, Bank architecture eye candy – part 1, I have a couple more examples of spectacular bank branch design from around the world. These interiors show that bank environments don’t have to be boring. Anything but! As a matter of fact, they can be works of art that contribute greatly to the customer experience.

Here is the branch design for CheBanca! in Milan, Italy, designed by Crea International. The idea of this design is to create a space that is warm and sunny but also focuses on technology. A great example of using environment to tell a brand story!

This is a branch for MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group). The architects, NMDA, have this to say about the building: “Here, the environment must be accessible and friendly, yet have a special sense of contemporary design. The two most important features to our design are first, the smooth surfaces that shape the ceiling and walls into a continuous, flowing world, and second, the contrasting materials of white plaster and two types of wood veneers.” Once again, an example of being noticed and telling a story through environment.
